During the last decade, 100 Black Men of America Inc.
have proved that blacks can and do excel in corporate and community
leadership. The 100 has also shown that the training and support that
they give thousands of youth each year has improved their opportunities
to stabilise their learning environment, become self-supportive and
eventually empower them to control their own destinies.
Even though the organisation has made outstanding
progress, the changing times brought new challenges and yielded many
unanticipated opportunities. In response, the National President, Thomas
W. Dortch, Jr., unveiled an aggressive plan during the 1995 national
convention in Jackson, Mississippi, to focus the organisation. Cleverly
titled, FOUR FOR THE FUTURE.
