The 100 Black Men of London counteract the negative
stereotypes of Black men by holding various public events that show
men and children interacting in a loving and supporting manner.
Quality Time is a series of events which are only open to men and their
children.
Our flagship programme for this activity area is our annual 'Quality
Time' event held in celebration of Father's Day every year in June,
where men and children spend the day together in a theme park or other
such recreation-orientated public environment.
The 100 firmly believe of children that 'What our children see is what
they'll be". Fatherhood is not a one day activity, but on this
day the children see undeniably constructive images: groups of Black
men taking responsibility for them, interacting with them, educating
them and having fun - all at once. It is a very heart-warming event.
As time progresses, The 100 intend to attract even greater representation
from Black men who are prepared to step forward and take responsibility
for the development of the children in their communities. As we continue
to grow we'll have more coaches - and hopefully, improved nappy changing
facilities!
"Quality
Time for me is having an active bond between me and my father, spending
quality time doing the things that we both enjoy which is why I think
the 100 Black Men's 'Quality Time' is a meaningful event."

Quality Time Fun Day Out
"June 14th sees the return of the annual 100BMOL Quality Time event (QT). A day of fun, bonding and friendship. After enjoying The Score in Leytonstone last year, we are once again organising a trip to Chessington World of Adventures.
Coach and admission will be included in the price which will be £20 for those aged 12 and over, and £15 for under the 12s.
As ever, our Quality Time event is held in celebration of Father's Day. But QT is not aimed solely at fathers. All men and the children in their lives are welcome including nieces, nephews and God- children. If past trips are any guide then it is a day for caring, sharing, laughing and sometimes crying (i.e. the losing team in the game of rounders after lunch!) But most importantly its a day for recognising and cementing our responsibilities within the family and community which remain critical to our progress. What they see is what they will be.
Register with details of the name of the male parent/guardian and names and ages of accompanying children at: qt@100bmol.org.uk as soon as possible. Please don't forget to include a contact telephone number and e-mail address.
Please make payment by paypal or send a cheque to our address: The 100 Black Men of London, The Bridge, 12-16 Clerkenwell Road, london EC1M 5PQ.
Payment should reach us by 6th June."
Quality Time is a unique event organised by the 100 Black Men of London, encouraging black adult males to have fun and bond with their children.
